How do I create a post to share on social media?
You can schedule unlimited posts to be shared across all your connected social media profiles in SocialOmm.
In order to create a post, you need to have first added at least one social media profile - read this article to learn how.
Note:
Currently, all team members with login access will be able to create posts so keep this in mind when adding a new user to your SocialOmm account. We are releasing user roles and permissions soon.
Create a post
- To create a new post, click on the Create Post button in the left sidebar. You can also click the + icon.
- Select the Social Profiles you want to share the post to. You can select more than one.
- Enter some text for your post in the text area provided. You can also try the AI Assist to help you write a post.
The icons below the text area allow you to do the following:

Insert emojis into your post ❤️ |

Insert an image into your post. You can upload an image, pick one from your library, add stock photos, or add GIFs. |

Open Hashtag Manager. You can select a hashtag group. This is a group of hashtags that you use regularly. You can insert them all into your post in one click. |

Variables feature. This is an advanced feature for users creating bulk content or with custom needs. Contact us for more information. |

Open Template Manager. Save the current post draft as a template to use in the future or quickly insert a template you've saved in the past. |

AI Assist transforms how you manage social media by offering smart suggestions and providing insights to optimize your posts for maximum engagement. |
Preview your post
You can preview what your post will look like on multiple social media platforms using the panel on the right.
Label your post
You can label your posts. This can make it easier to organize your post and search for them.
Click on Labels from the menu at the bottom.
Then click on any labels that apply to this post or create a new label.
Publish or schedule your post
There are three options for any post. You can pick a day and time on the calendar, post now, or add to the queue.
Pick Time: This will open up a calendar where you can select a day or time. The post will publish according to the timezone shown. If the timezone shown isnt correct for you, click on it. This will take you to your profile where you can update it.
Post Now: This will publish your post immediately after you confirm. It can sometimes take a few minutes for the post to display on your profile after you refresh it.
Add to Queue: This will add the post next in the queue. It will publish according to the posting schedule you have set in your account.
