What's New in SocialOmm (Jan 2019)

Exciting NEW Graphic Design Tool (Coming Soon)

We're over the moon to announce that SocialOmm will soon (in March) have its very own built-in Graphic Design Tool! 🎉

Our exciting new Graphic Design Tool will be a powerful mixture of Canva and RelayThat, allowing you to create stunning graphics that are automatically resized for each social media network at the time of sending!

This is a game changer – not only for SocialOmm, but for you too. It means that, if you want to design your own social media images and also schedule all your posts in advance, you won't need two separate tools to do so (avoiding the need to pay for two separate subscriptions).

With SocialOmm, you can do it all with one simple, affordable subscription... yep, that's right, our new Graphic Design Tool will be included FREE in all our subscriptions!

Ahh, feel the zen? 🧘🏼

Text Recognition in Images (Coming Soon)

Wouldn't it be awesome if there was a way to search for images in your Media Library that contain a specific word or phrase? 🔎

Well, that reality is one step closer! We now automatically extract the text from every image you upload, which means this data is ready and waiting for us to make it possible for you to search your images. Over the next few months we'll be rolling major improvements to the Media Library, including this feature!

Plus...

There are dozens of other small improvements and bug fixes that we've made recently, so we'll quickly highlight the main items below:

  • Google+ removed: As you've probably heard, Google+ is shutting down in March. As part of this shutdown they warned that integrations could start failing as soon as this week, and as a result we had to remove Google+ from SocialOmm.
  • Better error messages for failed posts: We've improved the messages that are sent to you if a post fails to send.
  • Speed improvements: We've improved and tweaked a number of areas of SocialOmm to speed up load times.
  • Avatars are stored locally: Social media profile images (avatars) are now stored on our servers instead of being hot-linked to the file on the social networks to ensure profile images never break in SocialOmm.
